10×9.com – Anything shortener

I am very pleased to introduce the newest addition to my online services:
10×9.com the anything shortener. This service allows you to shorten an url, an email address, long text or an image url to something much, much, much shorter in form of “http://10×9.com/*”.

Based on the open source software kissabe by dahius it allows to create short and easy urls for any kind of media/link/address. Simple enter the long url and the service outputs a shortened url. It also has some cool features:

• Append a dash (-) behind a shortened url and you can see a preview and some statistics Demo
• There is an API! Simple call “http://10×9.com/api.php?url=YOUR_URL” with GET/POST and you get a shortened url in the body

Go ahead and give it a try. I will be adding my own modifications over time and create the best .com-based shortening service out there!

Don’t worry about down times or outages. The system is completely redundant and hosted on several dedicated servers located in 12 different countries … NOT It is an alpha and side project. If there is enough interest I might spin this off to a dedicated server. Or I just sell it to krz.ch 🙂
