They couldn’t believe Opera turned the Internet upside down with their launch of Opera Unite.
According to a blogpost Google, Microsoft, AOL, Mozilla, W3C want to launch a “new Web”.

Well, I call this Bullshit. Yes, Bullshit. Why?
For a couple of reasons
- The keywords: The New Web Project, microsoft, google, w3c, world wide web consortium, mozilla, aol, new web, html5, html6, html 5, html 6, algoritm, css 3.0, css 4.0, css4, information, web 2.0, web 3.0, web 4.0, new web project, tnwb, thenewwebproject, project web, web improvements, future web, the next web, internet, campagne, search engine, future internet, thenewebproject, firefox, internet explorer, google chrome, safari. Algorithm is misspelled, Safari is Apple’s browser. HTML 6? C’mon..
- The whois: The domain is registered to John Nijenroode. No proof that it belongs to any of the acclaimed “partners”. No MarkMonitor or similar connection. John Nijenroode is also one author at the blog with the “breaking news”.
- Official: I have reached out to several sources at some “partners”. None of them new anything about “the new web”.
- On their photos, no way this is Eric Schmidt.
For these reasons I call this
FAKE
and a nice bluff by Troggle!
Absolut. Wenn man nur schon 2-3x tief einatmet nach dem Lesen des Artikels muss man schon sagen: die versuchen was zu hypen. Immerhin hat der Typ eine @live.nl E-Mailadresse im Whois.
Aber bitte: wie wahrscheinlich ist es, dass ein hanghoher Manager beim aufnehmen von heruntergefallenen Notizen ien A4-Blatt übersieht? Gerade wenn es sich um brisante Infos handeln würde, wäre sowas niemals passiert.
Naja, Menschen sind unachtsam, siehe UK mit dem Geheimreport.
