This month’s Webtuesday was all about “Load Testing of Web Applications”. Jürg Stuker demoed a nice and free tool to load test your applications named “Proxy Sniffer“. And that describes it pretty good. First you record a session and browse behavior with the built-in proxy server and later you can re-run the same process with dozens or hundreds of robots and processes.
You can find Jürg’s slides on the namics blog.

And I am looking for some Apple Mac user who lends me his device and iMovie for a nice QuickTime encoding. With that we can stream a high-quality movie version and you should then be able to read the text. The 16:9/4:3 problem is also something it would fix.
The english in the presentation is some sort of torture… But I could agree: Proxy Sniffer is a nice tool for load testing (even though it is not really free) and it is used by some large companies (PostFinance, Apple). And David Fischer is really a cool guy – despite of his dialect 😉
Thx for the recording… Jürg.
