I managed to activate the new 2-step verification for my Google Account. The setup takes up to 15 minutes. And they aren’t lying about that. It is quite long and different things are changed or printed out. I’ve taken some screenshots for you to check it out:
At the end, you need to define passwords for applications, which do not support 2-step authentication. This includes your Android device (email and Google Account), your Adwords profile, desktop tools (Adium, GTalk). Each password is assigned with a custom, 16 character password.
