Here I am again, in Zurich – but this time, I am at the airport. My plane to Berlin (remember? BarCampBerlin is this weekend) leaves in about 40 minutes (scheduled). After the pilot strike on Tuesday (Swiss had to cancel 128 flights across Europe) I hope everything is okay now. The next problem, while be how to find from Berlin Tegel to my hotel on the other side of the city. I’ve heard, Berlin has a very good subway system, so I will see.
And if you wonder how much i is to go online at the airport: Init7 has an offer for 6 CHF (around 4 €) per hour. Other than that, you can choose between Orange (4.90CHF/30 minutes) and Sunrise (insanely 7 CHF/30 minutes). And of course Swisscom, but they do not show their prices on the welcome screen (does that link work from outside the WLAN?).
I really miss a FON serice down here. As a “Linus” user, it would be free for me 🙂
GAIM (MSN, ICQ and Jabber/GTalk), Plazes, Firefox, Flock, Skype and all other tools work. No port blocking discovered yet.
Man, can’t wait to attend BarCampBerlin and see the city.
