I like about vixy that it is an online-only converter. No software to download and install even though they offer a software for Mac and Windows.

I agree with you. But I use 5 in 1 converter. So YouTube Ripper is just free adtition for me. I download one tiome one good sofyware and enjoy as easy it works to convert protected music, video, rip CDs etc…
so vixy is rather good if you need to convert only youtube video 😉
I use to love vixy until it stopped working thanks to the changes made by Youtube in their updated Terms of Service saying that external sites can not be used to download youtube videos. Ah well, lucky there are loads of tools like the alternative to vixy I am using. It only does MP4 and 3GP but thats all I need. Incase anyone wants it http://www.videodownloadr.com.
