Although I’m normally a MS-friendly person, I sometime hope they had a little less success and a more competitors. Because MS tends to fall asleep as soon as they’re the market-leader. (Internet Explorer is a great example. They’ve done nearly nothing until Firefox and friends became more successful).

Because I’m a developer and not a marketing person, I’d really enjoy to improve MS development-tools and API’s.

As long as Google doesn’t buy Yahoo, it I don’t care =)
