However, many people were genuinely scared, so I had to remove it from my sig. Later, I was using an X-Face (http://de.wikipedia.org/wiki/X-Face), which was supported by Sylpheed, the mailclient I was using some years ago. These days, I use a 20 lines long disclaimer like this one:

is intended only for the person or entity which 
it is addressed to. Any review, retransmission, 
dissemination or other use of this information by 
persons or entities other than the intended
