Facebook would consider $10bn offer but says float is not on the agenda
This is the headline on todays Times Issue.
Lets do the Math:
10’000’000’000 for 52’000’000 users equals 192.31$/user.
Okay, sounds not to bad for a highly targetted database with all my information. Hey you, yes you Facebook user. If they sell, demand your 180 bucks for your data! Or wait? You haven’t read the ToS? To bad. You are now part of (INSERT_NAME_OF_BUYER).
And that fact:
Facebook was on track to earn $150 million in 2007
Makes the buy-price 66.7 times higher than anual revenue.
Who might buy Facebook for $10bn? Microsoft? Google? Yahoo + Microsoft? Disney? CIA? Any big advertisement company? Post your ideas below…
